Stephen McLain:

Hi, this is Stephen McLean of the Finance Leader Podcast. This is bonus episode number 84. It's the end of 2024 and this week begins 2025. We always ask where did the year go and how did it go so fast? It's the way it is every year and that is why I ask you to be deliberate and diligent in your planning. Now think about what you want to do, make a plan, figure out how to hold yourself accountable and then go do it. Mark those items off your list.

Stephen McLain:

I do hope everyone had a great year. I know some of you did and some of you did not, and for many it was probably just enough to stay the same and that was okay. It's okay if you had a year of just getting by. I understand that I had my own challenges this past year. When we go through dark moments, it becomes a test of our character and our resolve. Do you let tough moments stop you or does it make you even stronger? For me, this past year was a reflection and figuring out a few things. I did a deep dive on myself and what I want to do and how I can better help others in their journey. I was not able to produce as many podcast episodes, as before, but in 2025, I will be bringing more to you.

Stephen McLain:

I want you all to grow in your potential, and that will be the key this year growing our potential for greater responsibility. As you know, I talk about leadership and its components like mindset, goal setting, priorities, achieving excellence and much more. My aim has always been to always show you how you can achieve your long-term goal, which could be CFO or even CEO, and maybe you want to start your own firm or a small business. I want you to achieve that. I want to see that through and hopefully the topics I talk about here, along with the tools I have on financeleaderacademycom, can help you. So my goals for this upcoming year are number one, to create an exclusive leadership membership experience that will help you grow your career potential. Number two, to offer more fractional CFO services, such as advising on finance strategy and process improvement, plus offering training sessions for accounting and finance teams. And three, finally, to help small or micro business owners with the development of their finance and accounting processes so they can do better at resource allocation and understanding profitability. Let's make those small and micro businesses profitable. In 2025 and beyond. I want to see more people in the finance and accounting professions to develop real career advancement potential for the next role they desire.

Stephen McLain:

Now, what are you planning in the upcoming year? What are your big goals for 2025? You know that I don't believe in New Year's resolutions, because I love a more realistic process that can help you achieve your goals. Most resolutions fail in the first few weeks because there was not an underlying process of accountability and planning. Bottom line for this discussion is let's make 2025 amazing. What are your goals and how will you achieve them? Develop a realistic process that ensures more success. I can't wait to help you even more. Thank you for listening. Please visit financeleaderacademycom to find more resources. We are on to 2025. Thank you.
